Municipal Development Charges
The Development Charges Act allows for Municipalities to impose development charges (“DCs”) on development and redevelopment to pay for development-related capital costs. The study and by-law were prepared in compliance with the Development Charges Act. The by-law to impose development charges was approved by Council on February 15, 2023, and amended through By-Law 2026-102 on September 16 2026. The approved rates are indexed annually on the anniversary date of the by-law. Please reference the Development Charges Pamphlet for the rates currently in effect.
