Statement from Grey Highlands Council and Staff

GREY HIGHLANDS, ON, September 10, 2026 - The Municipality of Grey Highlands values the important contributions of our volunteers, staff, community organizations, residents, and visitors who help make our municipality a welcoming and vibrant place to live, work, and play.

Grey Highlands continues to support and uphold the principles of the R-Zone Policy, which promotes Respect for Yourself, Respect for Others, and Responsibility for Your Actions. These values help foster positive, respectful, and safe interactions throughout our community.

This commitment is reflected not only through the R-Zone Policy, but also through the Municipality's Workplace Violence and Harassment Policy and our ongoing efforts to support a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.

Harassment, intimidation, threats, bullying, discrimination, abusive language, and personal attacks of any kind have no place in interactions with the Municipality, including in-person conversations, telephone calls, emails, public meetings, within municipal facilities and programs, public spaces, and the Municipality's social media channels.

Council and staff remain committed to promoting respectful dialogue, supporting those who serve our community, and maintaining municipal facilities, programs, and services that are welcoming and accessible to all.
