NOTICE OF THE ADOPTION OF AN OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT

Official Plan Amendment No. 51 — Adopted by By-law No. 2026-089

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Grey Highlands adopted Official Plan Amendment No. 51 to the Municipality of Grey Highlands Official Plan by By-law No. 2026-089 on September 16, 2026, under Section 17 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13.

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of the amendment is to make housekeeping changes to the Municipality of Grey Highlands Official Plan so that it remains internally consistent, reflects current provincial policy and legislation, and provides the policy basis required to implement the Municipality’s new Comprehensive Zoning By-law, By-law No. 2026-088. The amendment is text-only, applies to all lands within the Municipality, and changes no land use designation, schedule or mapping. No key map is provided for that reason.

RELATED APPLICATION: Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 2026-088 was passed by Council on September 16, 2026 and does not come into force until this Official Plan Amendment comes into effect. Zoning By-law 2004-50, as amended, remains in full force and effect until that time.

THE COUNTY OF GREY is the approval authority for this amendment, which is not exempt from approval. There is no right of appeal of Council’s decision to adopt the amendment. An appeal right arises only once the County of Grey gives notice of its decision.

ANY PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY will be entitled to receive notice of the decision of the County of Grey if a written request to be notified of the decision, including the person’s or public body’s address, fax number or email address, is made to: Director of Planning, County of Grey, 595 9th Avenue East, Owen Sound, ON N4K 3E3, Scott.taylor@grey.ca.

ONLY THE FOLLOWING may appeal the County’s decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal under subsection 17 (36) of the Planning Act: the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing; a specified person (as defined in subsection 1 (1) of the Planning Act) who made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to Council before the amendment was adopted; a public body that made such submissions; and the registered owner of any land to which the amendment would apply who made such submissions.
