Public Notice: Annual Sanitary Sewer Flushing Notice

Foster Services will carry out Grey Highlands’ annual sanitary sewer flushing program from October 19 to 23, 2026.

The work will include the sanitary sewer systems in Flesherton and Amik, as well as the west side of Markdale. No interruptions to individual sewer services are expected. Flushing will take place daily between 6:30 AM and 4:30 PM.

The flushing truck is large, and residents may hear operational noise inside nearby homes. If a plumbing vent stack is blocked or partially obstructed, air pressure may be released through a toilet or sink, potentially causing splashing or unusual sounds.
