Grey Highlands Recognizes OPP Constable Jason Steward with 2025 Officer of the Year Award

GREY HIGHLANDS, ON (July 10, 2026) – The Municipality of Grey Highlands is proud to announce Provincial Constable Jason Steward of the Ontario Provincial Police as the recipient of the 2025 Officer of the Year Award.

Constable Steward was recognized for his outstanding leadership, professionalism, and commitment to supporting both his fellow officers and the communities they serve. As the second-in-command of his platoon, he consistently demonstrates strong leadership, assists colleagues across Grey County and contributes to the operational effectiveness of the Grey Bruce OPP Detachment.

Throughout his career, Steward has played a key role in mentoring and developing other officers. Having formally coached multiple officers and continuing to provide informal guidance and support, he is widely respected for his approachable nature, strong communication skills, and extensive knowledge. His leadership, accountability, and commitment to fostering a positive workplace have made him a valued member of the detachment.

As a certified breath technician and drug recognition officer, Steward is frequently called upon to assist detachments throughout Grey Bruce and surrounding areas. His expertise and reliability have earned him the trust and respect of colleagues across the region.
