Recycling Changes are Coming January 1, 2026!

The Province of Ontario is taking over residential Blue Box recycling collection, and that means some changes for Grey Highlands residents and IC&I users.

Residential curbside recycling: No changes to your pickup, and good news: even more materials will now be accepted (like takeout cups, toothpaste tubes, ice cream tubs, and more!). You can visit www.circularmaterials.ca/ON for a full list.

Industrial, commercial, and institutional recycling: As of January 1, 2026, curbside recycling collection will no longer be available, and recycling will need to be managed independently. IC&I users can continue to bring recycling to any of the Grey Highlands Waste & Diversion sites, free of charge after January 1st, 2026.
