Contract, Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
March 2026 – March 2027
$27.16 - $31.78/hour (2025 Wage Grid)

What you will do:
Reporting to the Environmental Compliance Specialist or their delegate, as part of the Environmental Services Department, the successful candidate will perform duties in accordance with departmental and corporate work plans and priorities, including but not limited to the following:
• Respond to telephone, email, and visitor inquiries. Refers inquiries to appropriate staff member as required.
• Maintain department equipment and supplies. Schedule service and replenish inventory when necessary.
• Monitor and update website information for department, including but not limited to collection schedules and water/wastewater resources.
• Assist in the internal audit for the Drinking Water Quality Management System.
• Assist with inputting and maintaining databases and files related to Environmental Services.
• Enter data received from receipt stub books, customer traffic, weigh scale tickets and data captured by received loads of waste and all diversion programs.
• Assists in public outreach and education for environmental services related to waste diversion and disposal, water and wastewater for municipal staff, residents, and students.
• Attend departmental meetings and keep records and minutes were applicable.
• Arrange pick up for full loads of diversion programs that the municipality offers.
• Aid in the implementation of administrative policies, practices, and procedures.
• Back fill at WDS sites as an Attendant in case of staff shortages.
• Participate in resolution of delivery service issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with corporate strategic objectives.
