Grey Highlands is rich in natural and man-made green spaces. It is abundant in recreational activities from the active pace of soccer, baseball, dragon boating and skiing to the more leisurely activities like hiking, nature walks, or a quiet canoe paddle along the Beaver River. The Municipality offers 10 park areas, 8 playground sites, 8 sports fields, several km of the Beaver Valley Bruce trail and 2 swimming ponds for active and non-active recreation.
Many of these parks feature stunning scenery and offer picnic tables, playgrounds and benches for your enjoyment. No camping or overnight parking is permitted in Municipal parks.

The Rotary Club of Markdale welcomes residents and visitors to the area to enjoy a cooling swim or a relaxing picnic under the shade trees at Rotary Park. Children will enjoy the playground and wading pool. The park is located at the West end of the Village of Markdale on Main Street (County Road 12). |

Vandeleur Park |
Grey Rd 32, north of Flesherton Vandeleur Park is a small park that was separated from the former Vandeleur Public School, which is now a private residence. It is located on Grey Road 32, one concession south of the intersection with Grey Road 30. It has a pavillion and large picnic table which can seat upwards of 20. There is a grassy area which could be used for recreational sports. There is a portable washroom on site during the summer months. It is also close to Bruce Trail at Graham's Hill. |
