- Catherine Campbell spoke during open forum regarding 12.1 - Rocklyn Hall Kitchen Stove.
- Council received a delegation from the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation with an update on the new hospital.
- Tim Lanthier of the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority delegated to Council with a presentation on their programs and services offered and funding sources.
- A third delegation was received from Chris Lockhart of LAS/Enterprise regarding a Fleet Management Program.
- Staff reported on the 2022 Council remuneration paid to members of Council and Committees for the year.
- The 2023 Budget By-law was approved with an increase of 6.1%, supporting significant community investment and focusing on municipal facilities, asset management, and safety.
- An amendment to the Parking By-law was approved to restrict parking on Toronto Street South in Markdale.
- Tenders were awarded for crushed granular and calcium chloride to Seeley and Arnill and Da-Lee Dust control, respectively.
- Council received a report on the 2023-2037 Strategic Plan. The timeline and process were approved, with an additional Committee of the Whole meeting added to the schedule.
- Council discussed re-introducing Town Hall meetings at various locations throughout the municipality. Staff were directed to come back with potential dates and locations for the quarterly meetings.
- The Discharge of Firearms By-law was approved as amended with section 4 (o) removed which referenced bird hunting on local lakes.
- The Rocklyn Arena kitchen will be getting a new commercial stove funded from the the appliance lifecycle reserve.
- Clarity to the Council Remuneration Policy was approved through a notice of motion by Deputy Mayor Nielsen. The 'required special events' for mileage purposes were further defined with specific events that take place throughout the year that members of Council are expected to attend.
- A notice of motion from Councillor Allen was approved to obtain feedback from interested parties on a permanent form of recognition for Chris Neil in Flesherton.
