Grey Highlands Council met through a hybrid model of virtual and in person on May 4 at 1 p.m. The meeting was streamed live for the public to watch as well as recorded (link below).
- Director, Economic & Community Development Michele Harris, introduced Steve Murray as the new Economic Development Officer for the Municipality of Grey Highlands
- Council approved the April 20, 2022, Council minutes
- Council approved the minutes from the April 27 Committee of the Whole Meeting
- Council directed staff to bring forward a by-law adopting the draft Proclamation Policy to a future Council meeting as amended
- Council directed staff to bring forward a report on volunteer and civic recognition for Council consideration
- Council received staff report TPS.22.13 regarding the Agreement to Purchase Feversham Dome Property
- Council approved the termination of the Feversham Dome co-ownership agreement with Grey County
- Council received report FIN.22.10 for information
- Council awarded the contract for completion of Development Charges Background Study RFP-F18-2022-02 to Hemson Consulting Ltd.
- Council received staff report TPS.22.14
- Council supported awarding RFT-F18-2022-11 Hot Mix Paving Schedule A (including provisional items) and Schedule B to E.C. King Contracting in the amount of $683,560.50 (excluding HST)
- Council supported the shortfall of $45,980.05 for Schedule A be added to the debenture and the shortfall of $50,696.12 for Schedule B be funded through the Winter Maintenance Reserve
- Council received staff report CLS.22.17 - Tender Award By-law Enforcement and Canine Control
- Council awarded the tender for By-law Enforcement and Canine Control Services to James Special Services Inc. at a cost of $1400 per week for 2022 and 2023 and $1440 for 2024 and 2025 inclusive of after-hours emergency response and mileage for 40 hours per week
- Council received staff report CLS.22.12, regarding an appointment of a Deputy Division Register, as information related to the draft by-law in the by-law portion of the agenda
- Council received staff report CLS.22.16, regarding an amendment to the Election Sign By-law 2018-030, for information related to the by-law in the by-law portion of the meeting
- Council received staff report FES.22.01, regarding mandatory firefighter certification, for information
- Council received the Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) 2022-04-19 unapproved meeting minutes for information
- Council received planning report PL.22.51 for information related to the by-law contained in the by-law portion of the meeting
- Council received the Mulmur - More Homes for Everyone Act Resolution for information
- Six by-laws were approved including a by-law to authorize the purchase of the Feversham Dome property, four by-law amendments and a by-law to authorize the execution of the Joint Waste & Diversion Site Agreement between the Township of Chatsworth and the Municipality of Grey Highlands
- Council passed a motion to request that County of Grey Staff present the Grey County Climate Change Action Plan to Grey Highlands Council
