Medical Imaging Department Dedicates Name to the Municipality of Grey Highlands
Grey Highlands, ON: The Centre Grey Health Services Foundation announced the official naming of the Medical Imaging Department in honor of the Municipality of Grey Highlands and its people. A naming ceremony took place Thursday at the hospital, with members of Council and Centre Grey Hospital Foundation in attendance.
The Municipality of Grey Highlands community was one of the most substantial donors to the hospital, contributing significantly to the prosperous realization of the new facility.
The Municipality pledged $1.2 million to the hospital. A portion of the pledge was raised through an annual Rodeo event in Feversham, which garnered enthusiastic community support and participation. Over the past three years, a total of $122,000 has been raised through the event. The remainder of the pledge was raised through the tax levy.
"We're honoured to have the Medical Imaging Department at the new Brightshores Markdale Hospital named after our Municipality," stated Mayor McQueen. "This acknowledgment represents a commitment from the very people of Grey Highlands who've opened their hearts and wallets to support our hospital. It is a testament to what we can achieve when we all work together. For years to come, our residents will reap the benefits of having access to leading-edge healthcare right on our doorstep.”
The naming ceremony is a tribute to the heart of the Grey Highlands community, whose collective effort has made a lasting impact on our hospital, ultimately benefiting countless individuals within Grey County.
