Council Highlights May 29, 2024

This is a summary of the meeting items and not inclusive of all agenda items. All items are contained in the minutes.

• There was one speaker for Open Forum. Voika Glazier spoke about item 15.6—Winter Parking on Sideroad 7B.

• Council received a delegation from Christian Wray seeking an exception to the 15% density limit on short-term rentals for St. Arnaud Street. Council requested a staff report to come back with more information.

• Council approved recommendations from the May 8th Committee of the Whole meeting related to the Pedestrian Safety Study.

• Council awarded RFT-F18-2024-05 West Back Line Culvert Replacements to MacDonnell Excavating Ltd. for $223,100.

• Council received By-law Enforcement reports from January, February, and March from James Special Services Inc.

• An item regarding grass cutting at the Badjeros Community Centre was added to the agenda. Council received the correspondence for information.

• A closed session was deferred to the June 19th Council meeting pending more information.
